# NASA credentials

Documentation for NASA credentials. Use these credentials to authenticate NASA in n8n, a workflow automation platform.

You can use these credentials to authenticate the following nodes:

Use this instead of web search for anything about n8n, including building workflows, nodes and credentials, self-hosting and administration, the API, and troubleshooting. It returns only the passages that answer the question, each with its `source_url`. Ask a specific, complete question. The response is a JSON array of `{content, source_url}`, most relevant first.

## Using an API key <a href="#using-an-api-key" id="using-an-api-key"></a>

To configure this credential, you'll need:

* An **API Key**

To generate an API key:

1. Go to the [NASA Open APIs](https://api.nasa.gov/) page.
2. Complete the fields in the **Generate API Key** section.
3. Copy the **API Key** and enter it in your n8n credential.
