# Try free then choose a plan

Start a free n8n Cloud trial, then compare the Starter, Pro, and Enterprise plans to choose the right one.

[n8n Cloud](/deploy/use-n8n-cloud.md) is the managed way to run n8n: n8n hosts your instance, so you don't set up or maintain any infrastructure. The best way to start is with a free trial, then move to a paid plan that fits your needs.

## Start with a free trial <a href="#start-with-a-free-trial" id="start-with-a-free-trial"></a>

When you create a new n8n Cloud trial, you have 14 days to try all the features of the [Pro plan](https://n8n.io/pricing/), including:

* Global variables
* Insights dashboard
* Execution search
* Five days of workflow history to roll back

The trial gives you Pro plan features with a limit of 1000 executions and the same computing power as the [Starter plan](https://n8n.io/pricing/).

## Compare n8n Cloud plans <a href="#compare-n8n-cloud-plans" id="compare-n8n-cloud-plans"></a>

After your trial, you can move to a paid plan. Each plan suits a different user and includes different features, usage limits, and computing power.

The following plans are available for n8n Cloud users:

| Plan           | Designed for                                                                      |
| -------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Free trial** | Trying n8n Cloud with Pro features for 14 days                                    |
| **Starter**    | Individuals and small projects getting started                                    |
| **Pro**        | Power users and small teams that need higher limits, admin accounts, and insights |
| **Enterprise** | Organizations that need advanced security, scaling, and dedicated support         |

## Upgrade to a paid plan <a href="#upgrade-to-a-paid-account" id="upgrade-to-a-paid-account"></a>

You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time during your trial. To upgrade from the n8n Cloud console:

1. Open the [Cloud console](/deploy/use-n8n-cloud/use-the-cloud-console.md).
2. Select **Upgrade plan** in the trial banner at the top of the page. You can also go to **Billing** and select **Upgrade plan**. n8n opens the **Choose a plan** page.
3. Choose **Monthly** or **Annual** billing.
4. Select **Select plan** on the plan you want.
5. Enter your payment details and complete the checkout.

In the n8n editor, the upgrade button in the trial banner at the top of the page opens the same **Choose a plan** page in the Cloud console.

## When your trial ends <a href="#trial-expiration" id="trial-expiration"></a>

If you don't upgrade by the end of your trial, the trial automatically expires and n8n deletes your instance.

**Download your workflows**

You can [download your workflows](/deploy/use-n8n-cloud/download-workflows.md) to reuse them later. You have 90 days to download your workflows after your free trial ends.

### Cancelling your trial <a href="#cancelling-your-trial" id="cancelling-your-trial"></a>

You don't need to cancel your trial. Your trial automatically expires at the end of the trial period and no charges occur. n8n deletes all your data soon after.

## Enterprise trial <a href="#enterprise-trial" id="enterprise-trial"></a>

To test the [Enterprise plan](https://n8n.io/pricing/), contact the sales team. The Enterprise plan includes features such as:

* SSO (SAML and LDAP)
* Environments
* External secrets
* Log streaming
* Version control using Git
